Trivia

Remothered: Broken Porcelain received mixed to negative reviewers at launch due to the various technical issues and gamebreaking bugs affecting the original release.[1] Despite its gameplay problems, the game received praise for its story, artistic design and unique approach to horror.[2] The relationship between Celeste and Lindsay was praised as the heart of the story and attracted many LGBT and yuri genre fans.[3][4]

The feedback from fans and players was somewhat more positive since the developers continued to support the game and regularly released patches optimizing the experience for the following months after the original release,[5]

Some fans felt the game had failed to live up to its predecessor, despite introducing some improvements to the gameplay. Chris Darril later shared his own disappointment with the final product due to the amount of scrapped content.[6][7]

Despite its issues, Remothered: Broken Porcelain was awarded as Rely on Horror's 2020 Community Game of the Year.[8]
